Yes I know, I've been a bad boy this year, being too lazy to update my blog :( But for the sake of the Christmas spirit, rejoice! For here is a new post to spread the festive joy! Indeed, it's the time of the year again for last-minute shopping, spamming everyone in your contact list with Christmas greetings, and just being generally very merry. Not to mention watching the annual re-runs (Sorry, I meant "TV Premiere") of the same old Christmas flicks until I'm tempted to become the Grinch and Shrek the TV station myself. Really though, cynical as I am, I don't actually see the significance of Christmas (with the exception of Christians) beyond the hype that the retailers generate. And of course, the revenue us merry folk in turn generate for the retailers too. Yet, I've been finding myself singing/humming/whistling to the tune of Christmas carols for these few days. Somehow, it seems I never get sick of all the Christmas tracks that inevitably surround me wherever I go at this time of year. It's probably the general jolly atmosphere that's been creeping into my nerves and setting off those sleigh bells ring-ting-tingaling inside my head. I suppose Christmas is just an excuse for us to take a break for work and emulate Santa in his merry ways. (I wonder if Santa drinks though? Would be pretty dangerous drinking and driving that sleigh of his...) But I guess if everyone's happy, no harm can come out of it =D So here's to a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPP- OH GOD IT'S THE END OF THE HOLIDAYS IN ONE WEEK, ANOTHER YEAR OF PAIN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA |
