ill do a really short post today, since i have a Physics modular exam tmr, but its already 10+ pm yet i haven't studied for it yet...was playing audition in the afternoon =P *ahem* Anyway, would just like to share some photos i took during my short SIMO (Singapore International Maths Olymiad) Junior Group training stint at NUS. Its basically something like Maths Quiz Training or Maths Club (depends on what your school calls it), except we have professors to teach us, and the stuff taught is much more complicated. We were selected to go for this training based on our SMO(J) results, and there were 9 HCI ppl selected, including Derek, Daren, Jiakun, Yuanxi, Kenneth and me. Tiansheng was also chosen (duh), but being the slacker that he was, he declined to go for the training. Apparently, Derek, Jiakun, Tiansheng, Julian and Huang Ji were those from 1N selected for the training last year, but this year, only Derek, Jiakun and me were selected. Which means im the "newcomer". O.O Altho they teach almost the same things every year... During the duration of the programme, i obviously learnt a lot of new skills and concepts useful for solving maths problems. In addition, i actually met one of my ex-classmates from 6H - Barry Tng - who is a maths pro and in RI now. He was also one of The Chosen Ones last year. Oh, and they actually order Hock Guan curry puffs for us to eat during break...fully sponsored by NUS. Heck, we didn't even have to pay a single cent at all for this training. NUS very rich mah... And so...here comes the part you've all been waiting for...the PHOTOS! The guy on the left-hand side is Derek, while the one on the right is Barry. im pretty surprised barrys' taller than Derek - he used to be rather short in primary school too. Well, maybe its becos Derek is short, not becos Barry is tall :PBut im still taller than both of them!! MUAHAHAHA PWNT.  Everybody's rushing to grab their curry puffs. Usually, some people don't manage to get one cos some ppl take more than 1 for themselves...*stares at yuanxi*I heard from the others that there were always leftovers last year...but this year, the curry puffs are all gone less than 2 mins after we are released fo our break!
