Mug
v. The Singaporean version of cramming for exams, i.e. scanning notes into one's brain. As if it wasn't filled with enough junk already.

Only if Necessary
adv. The night before for classroom assessments; one day for lecture tests; and one day and night (per subject) for major examinations.

This author is currently on hiatus for the ignoble cause of mugging. The public is advised to remain calm, as this routine protocol has been shown to have no effect on one's violent tendencies in 96% of cases.

Physix of Magix (Day 2)

Today was way harder than yesterday - the seniors taught us, or at least attempted to, a series of card tricks and flourishes, some of which we unfortunately still couldn't get after 1 hour of demonstrations. =X

At least there were some stuff today outside of the realm of cards. For one, the seniors taught us how to bend spoons (and other utensils) easily. Result:

Not surprisingly, that was done by YYY, lol.

There were also some tricks involving rubber hands. Basically you entangle two rubber bands together, showing that they cannot be separated, then do some nimble twists and movement of fingers and tadaa~ the rubber bands are separate. Easy to do, though hard to master.

Nothing really extraordinary today though, other than having Ming Jian (is that how you spell his name?), a sec 4 councillor, came around during the break to show us some of his tricks. He's a self-taught magician but yet he's dam pro. Stunning display of moves - i think the pwns our sec 4 trainers hands down lor.

At least i can fan the cards rather nicely now. The tricks look really cool when done right... =)

Went to YYY's house after school, and we spent most of the time on Halo 2 (as usual.) He owned us in Phantom mode in some dark map, where we spent most of the time wondering, "How come i see a blip in my radar but can't find him arh?" Amazingly though, i owned in Juggernaut mode, getting 20+ kills to the others' 2 or 1, lol. Considering that i don't even own an XBox, that's pretty astounding. Must be some of mingjian's magical aura which rubbed off on me o.O
