Mug
v. The Singaporean version of cramming for exams, i.e. scanning notes into one's brain. As if it wasn't filled with enough junk already.

Only if Necessary
adv. The night before for classroom assessments; one day for lecture tests; and one day and night (per subject) for major examinations.

This author is currently on hiatus for the ignoble cause of mugging. The public is advised to remain calm, as this routine protocol has been shown to have no effect on one's violent tendencies in 96% of cases.

teachers' day 07

[I know this post is freaking late, just pretend you saw this on 1 Sep, lol. And sorry in advance for the blur pics. D:]

This year's teachers day celebrations were probably one of the best ive seen, thanks to the fact that we get to wear home clothes (haha, too bad RI peeps) and the performances put up by the sec 4s at the concert were pretty entertaining. And gym performed too - though it was a close repeat of the national day one so it kinda sucked...

The new teachers this year are kinda weird too. In a nice sort of way. =3

Orange balloon octopus ftw!

After that, we stormed the staff room to give out class presents to teachers. It's the first time in hwachong that we did that, though - largely cos of all the insane troubles we've caused, so better repay them this year and make them happy for at least a day. Plus we had quite a few bottles of leftover coke from a party that never happened, might as well give them out as complimentary gifts lol. xD

Pics of our *ahem* joyful teachers!

Three bottles - um, cheers! - for our FT! And the orange octopus makes yet another appearance. o_O

"No children, I don't want Coke, got enough Martell at home already..."

LeaLeeFY.

Sadly Chiak wasn't around cos he went pubbing. T_T

"Sorry Mr. Docherty, we aren't old enough to buy you vodka yet."

JLoh enjoys Coke. A lot.

Notice Spermie - Blee's pet toy - lying inconspicuously beside the Coke bottle.

(Sorry, didn't manage to get a photo of Mrs Liew though. =( )

After that, returned to Catholic High Pri (as usual) with the ex-6H ppl to visit the teachers. It's changed a lot - most of the teachers that taught us before have left already, so we only managed to meet up with 4 of them. And then there's those nice shinty statues around the campus which i distinctly remember not having been there on chinese new year.

Hmm, i wonder where all the money to purchase them came from?

But really, the campus is amazingly beautiful now. Lots of greenery, colours and artwork...seems more like a president's garden than a school to me. The only thing missing is air-con in the classrooms. D:

Later, there was some leftover food cos the teachers couldn't finish the food specially catered to them for teachers' day...so we basically got a free lunch. =3

Of course, how can we bid farewell without leaving behind our mark? ;)
